 You will leave the centre of Florence after meeting your guide at a central meeting point and slowly drive up the hill to the 'piazzale Michelangelo' where you will enjoy the best views over the city skyline. You will have a chance to take photos here before continuing onto a very charming Chianti village where you can enjoy some wonderful italian coffee and pastries , wander around the piazza looking at the shops. You will drive through windy roads that pass through vineyards and olive groves and here is where you will understand the beauty of Chianti. We will take you past a 'pieve' which is a smart church with the glorious green backdrop of the rolling hills . Continuing along the backroads of this glorious part of Tuscany where we will reach the village of 'Radda in Chianti' where you will enjoy a light lunch and tastings of the estate's award winning wines. You will enjoy a tour of their wine cellars and have the chance to purchase the estates produce which include Honey, Red Wine Vinegar, White Wine Vinegar, Infused Vinegars and Extra Virgin Olive Oil and of course their full range of wines, grappa and vin santo.
 After lunch we will take you further into Chianti and onto the medieval village of San Gimignano, famous for its panoramic position with 360° views and the magestic stone towers of which only 18 still stand today. The history books tell us that as many as 150 towers were in this village, and they were a sign of the families wealth. Unfortunately many have been distroyed over the centuries during various wars that raged through the region. There are many lovely shops selling typical produce of the area like 'cinghiale' ( wild boar) salami, 'tartufo' ( truffle products) and the crisp white wine that this immediate area is so famous for ... the 'Vernaccia of San Gimignano' . After a wonderful day you will head back to Florence arriving at around 6pm... just in time to get ready for an 'aperitivo' italian style and dinner!
