Terme Grotta Giusti
Set amidst to lush Tuscan countryside, nestled in the hills of Monsummano is 19th century villa that houses the Grotta Giusti Spa. There are restaurants serving authentic Tuscan cuisine, comfortable rooms, swimming pools, a sun deck and tennis courts. There are three grottas that have different temperatures. There is also a lake where a temperature of 36°C is maintained all through the year. The water rejuvenates the body and the steam detoxifies it.
The thermal water was discovered in 1849 by a group of labourers working for Domenico Giusti. These labourers were treated to a never before seen site of the water and the stalactites and stalagmites formations around it. Seeing the business potential of the place, the owner Domenico Guisti built rooms around the water and since then the popularity of the place has been growing each year with both local and international tourists coming here to spend a few days. It have been reconstructed and renovated several times since but it still holds its historic charm.
