This enchanting stone farmhouse built on several levels into the hillside has a private pool with a very extended leisure area, a romantic shady gazebo (with garden furniture and sunchairs) and enjoys breathtaking views from its sun-drenched position. Originally this farmhouse used to be the storage barn for grain and field fruits. Animaldrawn carts unloaded on the old "Aia" the threshing floor (still visible with its cracked cotto tiles). Following the threshing the grain was shoveled into the barn though a tiny cottage to protect from the weather. Many years ago some owner changed this small cottage into a consecrated chapelle since the Tuscan custom allows every "borgo" (agricultural mansion) its own small church. Still today you may hold services or even weddings and the old church bell is still there and sends its call into the valley.

There are steep stone steps on either side and two pretty terraces equipped for alfresco dinning - one to the south, a vinecovered pergola with juicy moscate grapes, the other fortunately to the north, therefore somewhat protected from the hot rays of the Italian sun. Pinetrees and dark cypress trees sway in the afternoon breeze. Entering this farmhouse going up 3 steps you find yourselve in a spacious livingroom with a sitting area and open fireplace as well as a library area. There is also a seperate service room with a WC. The maintenance room with independent gas heating, water and electricity supply allows also a more extended stay. 2 steps down is the lovely seperate dining area with direct access to the fully equipped countrystyle kitchen with a horseshoe-shaped central working area that leaves nothing to be desired. 2 of the 4 bedrooms on the next floor - (the "Poppy Room" and the "Rose Room") have en-suite shower/WC, the other 2 "Autum Room" and "Kids Room" share another en-suite shower/WC. Like all other rooms also these cosy bedrooms have been painted in warm, calming colours according to the old Tuscan tradition. The whole house seems to breath history and harmony with its antique furnitures from the epoque of the "Arte Povera", the traditional beam ceiling and tiled floors.
