This beautifully 18th century structure lays amidst the tuscan countryside. `Le Torre` bed and breakfast sits just outside of the mystical medieval village of San Gimignano, famous for its towers. The bed and breakfast sits just off the main road, surrounded by the rolling green hills, swaving grain fields and sunflowers. Originally constructed as a working water-mill, it has now been lovingly transformed into a present-day bed and breakfast of 10 rooms and 2 suites. Rooms are spacious and furnished in typical Tuscan style. There are ensuite bathrooms (shower, w/c), telephone and satellite TV. Breakfast is a world-class buffet with a variety of drinks. The cosy bar area serves drinks and snacks for both lunch and dinner. A large terrace and swimming pool are ideal places to relax amid the natural settings. `Le Torre` sits surrounded by the Tuscan countryside of San Gimignano and tranquility, though situated in the heart of Tuscany, ideally located to explore nearby cities and medieveal towns.

I just wanted to drop you a line to tell you how impressed we were by the standard of accommodation at both Le Torre and Farmhouse Apartment Granaio, during our recent holiday (24th Aug - 2nd Sept.)

Le Torre has to be the very best B&B in Tuscany! We were unsure what to expect of Tuscan bed and breakfast accommodation (in the UK it can be a bit questionable at times!), but we discovered a real gem here.

Just a short car journey away from the beautiful San Gimignano, we found Le Torre to be an ideal base. Attention had obviously been paid to every single detail by the owner, from the very tasteful and stylish decor throughout, to the meticulously kept gardens.

We stayed for two nights on a stop over to a second location in Tuscany, with our two young children. The four of us shared one room (as our kids were too young for a room of their own), and enjoyed relative luxury with wonderful views from our room across the countryside, from our four poster bed complete with voile drapes.

Breakfast at Le Torre was lovely, although you won`t find an English fry up, more European fayre with meats, cheeses, pastries, fruit and cereal, but they will boil you an egg! Lunch is okay, the choice is basic but good and tasty and best enjoyed on the beautiful terrace.

There is lovely pool, which as with everything else, is cleaned to perfection every morning.
