Vacation residence in the country area of Pontassieve near Florence, Italy perfect for large groups on a country farm. This vacation residence is a part of a large agricultural estate in Pontassieve, a few kilometres from Florence, Italy. This apartment is a part of a historical settlement of architectural and landscape interest, lying at the top of a hill and surrounded by a wood of cypress, vineyards and olive groves, which give a picturesque, distinguishing mark to this place.
This peculiar three-story residence has 5 independent double- bedrooms, 3 bathrooms , a sitting-room (with TV) and a well-furnished, kitchen which has a big fireplace. The stove has 4 gas burners and 2 electrical burners and an electric oven; a toaster, an American and an Italian coffee-machine are all provided. From the bedroom, which used to house the dovecot, there are panoramic views of the surrounding farmyard and countryside. Outside, the loggia offers plenty of tables, a garden umbrella, deck-chairs and a hammock. BBQ equipment can be provided upon request. Towels and bed linen are supplied on arrival.
Surrounding the estate is a park and a fenced vegetable-garden, which still has all the features of the Italian gardens of old. The family chapel sits next to the residence. Nearby is a typical hamlet made up of farmhouses; from here, you can take relaxing walks through the wood or sight-see other cultivated areas. There's a lovely over ground pool measuring 5x10 mts. The neighborhood offers a number of restaurants and trattorias that still preserve the typical gastronomy of this part of the Chianti area. The farm produces various products, all organically. Chemicals are not used on the vineyards, olive groves, orchards and garden surrounding the property. Farm-produced wine, olive oil and honey are all available for purchase. La Lorense Apartment is ideal for a large family or group of friends. The property is 2 kms from the train station and town centre.

Ken and I spent a week with you from 16 to 23 July in the apartment for two people. I should just like thank you for making our stay in Tuscany so enjoyable. Our accomodation was quite perfect with a wonderful location, glorious view and our every need catered for inside the apartment. I could quite happily retire and live there. Please give our warmest regards to your staff who was so very kind and our love to the striped pussycat who came to speak to us everyday!
I speak French, German and Spanish but regert no Italian. I intend to do something about this!

The villa was very nice. The owners were very nice and helpful. La Lorense is in a gorgeous setting. It is very comfortable, very clean and well furnished. We had wonderful dinners on the covered balcony. It is located close to everything so we were able to visit many nice places as day trips.Thanks and I hope we can do business again.
