Farmhouse holiday Siena in the mediaeval village of Radicondoli, Italy Farmhouse Il Terrazzo is located in the center of the medieval village of Radicondoli, which is situated in the heart of the Siena plain. The farmhouse was built around the second half of 1100, and was reconstructed in the second half of the 16th Century when it became the property of an ancient Tuscan noble family that still owns it today.
The front of the farmhouse there is a glazed Madonna, where the processions of worshippers would stop and pray during religious occasions. The entrance to the farmhouse is located on the main street of the village, which is closed to traffic from June until September. It is a two story farmhouse with an ancient marble stairway leading upstairs to the bedrooms. At the back of the farmhouse, is a large, sunlit terrace, complete with a rollable sunshed, lounge furniture, and a table. With a south-easterly exposure you will enjoy the sunshine most of the day with a cool evening breeze at night. There are beautiful, panoramic views of the hills and valleys around the village for you to enjoy.
The furniture is original old Tuscan style, and the farmhouse itself has large corridors, terracotta floors and extremely high ceilings. There are antique wardrobes in all of the bedrooms, and there is a living room downstairs and also another upstairs, both with open fireplaces. The dine-in kitchen has the original fireplace that you can use for cooking Bistecca the typical Tuscan steak! The farmhouse has 3 living rooms, 4 full bathrooms with shower, 1 balcony and 1 terrace (45 sq. m). The private swimming pool will provide refreshing afternoons after a day spent touring around. There is a supermarket near the farmhouse. Also conveniently nearby numerous pizzerias, bars and restaurants, a bancomat (ATM) and also a church, museum and pharmacy. Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and the coast are all within a
short drive away.
