Cibreo
Monday, October 8th, 2007
This Florentine restaurant is definitely an upscale trattoria. It is situated on the Via A. del Verrocchio in Santa Croce a historic district in the city. It has an old fashioned ambience and authentic Tuscan cuisine. This makes it very popular with both tourists and local alike. The prices are on the higher side but the menu is innovative and yet is typical Tuscan food.
There is an expansive menu offering many starters, main courses and desserts. The signature dish of this restaurant is the “tripe”. This is perhaps the dish which is the universal favourite. The tripe salad is favoured by many. There are a few main dishes including pigeon, chicken, baby shark etc. There is a fairly extensive dessert menu including chocolate based dishes and fruit pies. The wine list is also extensive.
This restaurant is worth a visit if you wish to have both a good ambience and good food and don’t mind paying for both.

Perhaps you can try the famous Fiorentine Steak which is definitely a specialty item. It has a mouth watering dessert range to round off the meal.
